On the afternoon of April 30, the signing ceremony between Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (ZCMU) and IMR Press, as well as the editorial board meeting of the Journal of Integrative Neuroscience (JIN), was successfully held. ZCMU President Chen Zhong, Chairman of IMR Press David Zhu (Difeng Zhu), and Vice President Wu Chengliang attended the event. Representatives from IMR Press, relevant university departments, and members of the JIN editorial board participated both online and offline.

Chen Zhong introduced ZCMU’s progress in development and emphasized that this collaboration reflects both sides’ shared commitment to academic excellence and the founding of a high-quality journal. He noted that this partnership is also a key step in ZCMU’s goal of becoming a top-tier institution in traditional Chinese medicine. Chen expressed his expectations for the collaboration, emphasizing the importance of craftsmanship and long-term commitment to building JIN into an outstanding journal that can stand the test of time.

David Zhu noted that IMR Press, as a publisher dedicated to academic publishing, has extensive experience in journal management and scholarly communication. Its journals cover cutting-edge fields such as molecular biology and neuroscience, with over 99% of articles indexed in authoritative databases like SCIE and PubMed. He expressed hope that the collaboration would enable both sides to leverage their strengths, achieve mutual benefit, and drive high-quality development.

At the ceremony, Chen Zhong and David Zhu signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of both sides. David Zhu also presented Chen Zhong with the official appointment as Editor-in-Chief of JIN.

The meeting was chaired by Vice President Wu Chengliang.

Following the signing, Associate Editor Xu Cenglin presided over the JIN editorial board meeting, where board members engaged in discussions on improving the journal’s quality and impact, as well as emerging research trends in neuroscience. They offered valuable insights and suggestions. Editor-in-Chief Professor Chen Zhong concluded the session with closing remarks.

According to the agreement, ZCMU will serve as the official sponsor of JIN, overseeing academic management and support. IMR Press will be responsible for journal operations, management, and database maintenance. The university library will act as the internal administrative body, while the Key Laboratory of Neuropharmacology and Translational Medicine of Zhejiang Province will provide academic support. With Professor Chen Zhong leading a high-level editorial team, the journal aims to uphold rigorous academic standards and develop into a leading platform in the field of neuroscience, promoting high-quality research and international academic exchange.
